Holiday Season

I thought I'd do a personal post as it's been... well, "awhile". I got focused on writing and researching too much and I thought this would be a nice break. I had such a good Christmas this year despite it being a bit of a rough time of year due to personal reasons I'd mentioned earlier in the year.

As you all know I work as an office manager and I kinda have to go to my office Christmas party. My boyfriend couldn't make it with me so I losered out and brought my mum as everything was paid for by my boss. I'd been totally set to dress 'normally' and not appear weird or eccentric but I got carried away with hair and make-up and next thing I knew I was rocking a pseudo-gyaru look:

My dress is a cheap ass dress I'd picked up in a market back when I was 17 and felt like wearing because it was sparkly and festive.

Although... it did get kinda awkward.

I'd completely forgotten by boss had lived in Japan for a few months a few years back and he kept making comments about how I reminded him of something. He was all, "You remind me of g... g... gy... gya.... GEISHA!" I just froze up and laughed it off but I was all, "OH NO," on the inside because I had a very good idea what he meant.

Woopsie. Silly me, etc. etc.

Christmas was amazing.

I'm so grateful for my family in so many ways. I'd been speaking with my mum and knew not to expect much because I'm not from a very well off family. I'd been asked what I wanted and I'd said the Electric Urban Decay palette (which my sister got me) and mentioned about how I was going to save up for a PS Vita.

So when I woke up on Christmas morning to a small pile of presents I was super shocked!

A lot of it was clothing, pyjamas, other nice things and I got to a box and I was totally clueless to what was inside of it. I assumed it was something what my sister had so I was looking through what she'd opened to see if I could guess, I was soooo certain. So when I opened it and it was a PS Vita with one of the games I was looking for (FFX) I was super stunned and ended up crying and hugging my mum because I hadn't expected it.

I'm actually getting overemotional writing this, woops!

I just hadn't expected it and it was something I was looking at treating myself with for a few months; sure I love clothes and make-up but at heart I've always been about video games and neat technology and Christmas is never complete without me playing on a new video game hee hee. ♥

I then spent the rest of the Christmas playing FFXIV because I'm a dorkazoid (I'm Ciahnna Amariyo on Zodiark server if you wanna play ♥).

For the New Year I went to visit my boyfriend at his parents place in London. I was super muted and toned down in hair and make-up because I wanted to make a good impression so there's not many pictures of me in gyaru, sorry!

We went to the Haagen-Dasz cafe which is one of my favourite places ever. I don't care if I've walked around in the cold and been shivering for the last hour, gimme ice-cream.

It was super yummy. And expensive. But yummy.

We never ended up doing much for New Years Eve but we did order pizza and watch Zoolander and American Hustle. I've never seen Zoolander before but I love it now. BLUE STEEEEEEEEEEEEEL.

We also went to Winter Wonderland in London which was amazing! It was like a giant wintery fairground with rollercoasters, carousels, chestnuts and Santa of course. ♥

I made my boyfriend take a selfie with me so he decided to be cute.

I also did a kind of gyaru look but my coord wasn't on point because I wanted to wrap up warm since I was going to be out in the cold all day. Freezing and having a runny nose and sneezing everywhere so isn't a hot look.

Coat: Lipsy (new!!)
Jumper: Christmas gift (new!!)
Skirt: MA*RS
Necklace: MA*RS
Tights: Offbrand

Winter Wonderland was so much fun! Unfortunately I ended up falling really, really ill over the course of the day and ended up so sick I was doubled over in agony and unable to do anything. It sucks but that's life. I wanted to go on the big rides and I couldn't, I wanted to ride the rollercoasters to see if my eyelashes would come off (legit!!).

ALSO

I broke one of my New Years Resolutions already. By January 5th I already had 5 new clothing items (Lipsy coat, Lipsy cardigan, MA*RS stockings/garters, MA*RS Dress, MA*RS Jumper). So much for a new year, new me. Are you guys holding up any better than me?

Stay sweet! ♥

Christmas 2012

I've been really late with my blog posts so I'm hoping to catch up soon!

Christmas 2012 was fairly boring. My family and I are close so it was almost as though it was a regular day to us (with presents!). I must have been a good girl this year as Santa was very kind to me! ...Although I've also been told I have too much money of my own so everyone decided to buy me things.

I received:

~ Mr. Kandee shoes
~ Irregular Choice shoes
~ Nail art pens
~ Scruffy Little Cat phone case
~ 2 boxes of Lush bath bombs
~ 2 sets of pyjamas
~ Lady Gaga's Fame perfume
~ A lot of Xbox games!
~ Body Shop stuff
~ an iTunes gift voucher
~ Deco'd headphones
~ A dress

I was a very lucky girl!

These are the Irregular Choice shoes. They're so comfortable and have perfect foot support. I was really surprised at just how comfortable they are!

These are the Mr. Kandee shoes. They came in their own dust bags and I had a look on their website and they weren't the cheapest so I'm grateful to my family for buying me these shoes. At the moment, my ankle is very weak so I keep falling over a lot so I can't wear them until it's stronger. It's a shame, isn't it?

What I wore! I always think this blouse makes me look a little fat but I have a BMI of 19.2 so I can't help it. At least I'm healthy! The jeans are corset jeans and are ridiculously comfy to wear, like, you don't understand!!

Blouse: Lipsy
Hair Bow: Miss Selfridges
Jeans: eBay (surprise!)
Jewellery: Miss Selfridges
Shoes (not pictured): Litas by Jeffery Campbell

My sister and I. I wasn't wearing too much make-up because my step-dad was yelling at me to hurry up haha. By the way my sister was a much darker colour in real life! She'd had a spray tan done by Rebecca who used to be in Geordie Shore and she went really dark!

I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and New Year!

Back to Edinburgh

Hey guys & gals!

I recently went up to Edinburgh again to visit my boyfriend. I absolutely adore that city, it's so nice! It was also really warm too so I didn't mind pottering up and down Prince's Street (which is a HUGE shopping street wtf I'm in heaven).

As I said it was super, duper warm so I did what everyone does when the weather is like that; wear a sun dress!

I've posted this picture a few places because I look so ~kaway uguu~ and this is a rare feat for me. No filters, the lighting in my room is just rubbish!

My nails have gotten so long wtf!

My code was as follows:

Dress: Lipsy
Bracelet: Primark
Necklace: No idea.
Shoes: No idea.

I later added a huge sun hat because it was so hot the sun was burning my head. It takes around an hour and a half by train to get to Edinburgh from my home town so by the time I got there it was super hot. I bought a sun hat and some floral hair pieces because they were cheap and cute haha.

Afterward we went shopping and ended up relaxing in Princes Street Gardens. It was so busy that day because everyone was outside wanting to enjoy the sun. I didn't burn though wtf, sun tan my legs.

Even when hot I will camwhore hahaha.

My poor boyfriend had the most unflattering shot of him ever taken because the sun was in his eyes. Don't tell him I posted this, okay?!

This is revenge for ruining my dress!!

After relaxing a little while we went back home so we could get ready for our night out on the tiles. Joe decided to mess around with my sun hat so I took a photo of him and made it ~kawayyy~.

What? Not kawaii enough, you say? How about this?

Much better hahah. Okay I'll stop shooping pictures of my boyfriend otherwise he'll get really mad at me!

After we got dressed he took me out for a romantic meal which wasn't very nice and then he chucked a chocolate pancake from me which ruined my dress! Luckily I had bought a new dress from River Island earlier that day so I went home and changed but I didn't have any accessories for it fml.

Dress: River Island
Bracelet: Primark
Bag: Irregular Choice
Shoes: Irregular Choice

We went to the Casino! It's so nice and cheapish in there but I didn't gamble because I'm a good girl.

The following day I kicked my boyfriend's arse at Soul Calibur. I'm really good at using Pyrrha and Pyrrha Omega but I'm also good with Tira and Leixia. I also made my own character! She has pink eyes and has the soul of Pyrrha.

He kept ripping her skirt off so she was fighting in her underwear, meanie.

We later went shopping (again). I bought a dress from Lipsy and a hair treatment from Lush (it works so good wtf) and some skin treatments from The Body Shop. We then met up with one of Joe's friends and relaxed a little.

When we were going to meet his friend I saw this.

Hahahahahahaha why is there a cow hanging out of the window WTFFFFFFFFFFF

I've never noticed it before!!

I didn't expect to see this wtf hahaha

I later had to go home which sucked. Two carriages on the train had no air con so the carriages where there was air con were crowded and smelly, yuck. We took a sea route back home though which was really nice.

& that concludes this trip to Edinburgh! I can't wait to go back, it's so nice up there. Everyone is super friendly and the whole town itself is nice!

It's also where cows like to jump out of windows, apparently.

Windy Weather!

I'm running about three weeks behind with this blog, sorry guys.

A few weeks ago I went out shopping with the other half. It was lovely to see him again, honestly, it was! I was to meet him in town so I tried to put a warm code together.

Not very stylish, I know!

Jumper: H&M
Dress: Select
Tights: Select
Boots: Select
Necklace: ViVi Accessories
Bracelet Primark
Headband: Off-brand

I know I don't look too good. Even with my fur coat on this was freezing cold to wear! My poor nose was running and everything. It was also really windy that day so my hair got messed up and my eyelashes tried to blow away! Luckily they stayed fixed on and I'm kinda glad I didn't do much to my hair as it would've been messed up straight away.

It was very busy in town so we pretty much windowshopped. I did buy some designer-like cupcakes though, I wish I had taken a photo! I bought a few and treated people to them all. It's the season to be giving, after all.

Later that evening we went out for a romantic meal. I say romantic, but we had a very rude taxi driver! We told him the name of the restaurant and whereabouts it was and he tried to take us somewhere 20 minutes away and them left us in some residential street claiming it was the restaurant! Excuse me mister, that housing estate was not the restaurant! He was also 30 minutes late because he was 'lost' and we almost lost our table reservation. We rang the taxi company up and complained so they sent someone to come pick us up and take us to where we were supposed to be. Sorry for the rant but it was very annoying!

We didn't feel like staying out after the meal so we came home and watched a movie. All in all a very busy day, wouldn't you think?

Oh H&M...

I'm a little surprised that I'm actually going to be writing this post, as I gave H&M such a lovely blog post a few days ago!

Anyway~
I went to town today. I had a couple of errands to run and it was raining so I didn't want to be too over the top. What I styled myself like was super boring because of it and was much less effort than normal!

Top: New Look
Skirt: H&M
Tights: No idea
Boots: I can't remember at the moment
Bracelet: Clares Accessories

Sorry for the really dark picture; it was gloomy and rainy outside! I did pretty basic make-up too because of the rain. My hair wasn't styled too well either because I was going to get my hair cut so I didn't want to make it OTT.

Don't I look happy and cheerful and colourful? I'm not sure why my lipstick wasn't showing up.

Anyway, I went into Town and did my errands (and got well and truly soaked in the process) so I popped into H&M. I bought a white jersey since my current one shrank so I'm pleased I found a new one. I also bought a cream hat and mittens set. They're really cute!

But...
When I was walking in stores and out I kept setting the alarms off. It was pretty embarrassing and I didn't know why! When I got home I pulled out everything I bought and had a look to discover this:

They'd forgotten to take the security tag off! Here's proof I bought it incase people are gonna start accusing me of stealing~

As you can see, the price of the hat and mittens match up to the receipt.

I'm gonna have to trek all the way back into Town to get them to take it off as it's an ink tag. I'm not happy at all! Bus fare isn't cheap at the moment either so I'm really annoyed at them. Maybe I'll ask to speak to the manager and kick up a fuss haha...
